Social Security Reform

Are our government leaders neglecting the young to win votes? Social security reform is badly needed and seems to make economic sense and, while it won't completely alleviate the problem of social security, it will certainly lighten the weight of the liability of social security. But, we still find many government leaders who are aggressively fighting necessary and sound planned reform in what looks like an attempt to prey on the fears of the elderly to win their votes. Here is a good article on social security reform.( http://www.mtexpress.com/index2.php?issue_date=02-09-2005&ID=2005101289) Please let me know some of the pro's and con's of social security reform.

-2 How is this related to economics at all? To me, this appears to be simply a statement in support of a certain position, without any supporting ideas or facts.

Further, how is this related to ManEc?

As to social security reform, all I think I'll say is that you should pay a lot of attention to this - I think it has a good chance of actually happening this time around.
