C'est La Vie!
I'm sorry, I guess this article about the French's Pride being hurt, doesn't have a whole lot to do with Economics, but I just had to put this on here. I guess you could relate this article to how a countrie's reputation can affect their direct foreign investments, or imports and exports, or the value of its currency, so there is an economic connection. I've just never liked the French and I'm glad to see that their pride is being shaken and they are enjoying the taste of a big old piece of humble pie. Don't get me wrong, I do feel bad for the innocent people who have been victims of violence and of a weak government, but as the French say, "C'est la vie!"

-1 on Jasmine's post for spelling errors.
You all should keep in mind that social policies with negative externalities are being blamed for the unrest in France.
